Child First Authority Website and Design Collateral

WordPress Website, Nonprofit Communications & Design Support
The Challenge

Child First Authority needed a central communications hub that could support the organization’s public presence while bringing together a wide range of programs, school partnerships, stories, events, publications, donor calls to action, and general messaging. The website had to serve as the centerpiece, but the larger need extended beyond web design into a broader visual communications system.

The challenge was to create materials that could feel consistent across different formats and audiences while still being flexible enough to support ongoing nonprofit communications, program updates, school-based initiatives, fundraising needs, and community outreach.

Goal

The nonprofit website design goal was to develop a custom WordPress site that made Child First Authority’s work easier to understand, navigate, and support.site needed to communicate the organization’s mission, highlight its programs and school partnerships, share stories and updates, promote events, provide access to publications, and guide visitors toward action.

Beyond the website, the project also required a flexible design approach that could extend into reports, fact sheets, presentation slides, signage, maps, charts, and outreach pieces.

Audience

The primary audience included families, students, school partners, donors, funders, community members, nonprofit partners, board members, and supporters interested in Child First Authority’s work.

The communications system also served internal staff and program leaders by providing clear, consistent materials that could be used across public outreach, presentations, school partnerships, and organizational reporting.

Approach

The project was developed as an ongoing communications partnership rather than a one-time website build. The WordPress site served as the public-facing foundation, with content organized around the organization’s mission, programs, school partnerships, stories, events, publications, and ways to take action.

The design approach focused on clarity, warmth, and community impact. Pages and materials were structured to help visitors quickly understand what Child First Authority does, who it serves, and how people can get involved. Supporting design work extended the same visual language across print and digital materials, including annual reports, fact sheets, presentations, signage, maps, charts, and outreach pieces.

The work combined web design, WordPress development, graphic design, publication layout, and production support to create a consistent communications presence across multiple formats.

Creative Direction

The creative direction emphasized energy, optimism, and community connection. The visual system used bright green and teal accents, strong photography, clear typography, and bold calls to action to reflect the organization’s focus on youth, families, schools, and neighborhood-based support.

The website design balanced nonprofit credibility with an approachable, community-centered feel. Large imagery, clear navigation, highlighted stories, and action-oriented sections helped make the organization’s work feel visible, human, and easy to engage with.

Supporting materials followed the same direction, using clean layouts, accessible information design, and consistent branding to help reports, presentations, signage, and outreach pieces feel connected to the larger communications system.

Outcome

The final website gave Child First Authority a stronger public communications hub for sharing its mission, programs, school partnerships, stories, events, publications, and donor calls to action. The broader visual communications support helped the organization present its work consistently across digital and print formats.

The ongoing design relationship created a flexible system for supporting new communications needs as they emerged, from annual reports and fact sheets to presentation materials, maps, charts, signage, and outreach pieces.
